From 365 Health Diaries: Happy Father’s Day

To the dads who show up at school tours, sports days, homework time, and the quiet moments in between.

Today we celebrate your presence. Your children don’t just need a provider. They need you healthy, present, and here for the long run.

At 365 Health Diaries, we see the data behind the story. The World Health Organisation reports that men are less likely than women to seek help for health issuesand often delay care until problems worsen. Men die by suicide at roughly three times the rate of women, with barriers like self-reliance, difficulty expressing emotions, and self-control holding many back from getting help.

But WHO also found this, men are able to seek help and show vulnerability with trusted people family, peers, health professionals when the environment feels safe.

So this Father’s Day, 365 Health Diaries challenges every dad to redefine strength

1. Book the appointment that appointment you have been delaying and put it on the calendar today.

2. Speak before it’s urgent. Fatigue, irritability, loss of sleep. These aren’t “just work stress.” They’re health data.

3. Lead by example,When you prioritize your health, you teach your children that self-care isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom.

Fatherhood is a marathon, not a sprint. You can’t be there for year 18 if you ignore year 40.

To every dad reading this: We see you. We celebrate you. And we need you healthy. 365 days a year.

Happy Father’s Day from our diary to yours.
