Merck Foundation Reaffirms Commitment to Global Health on World Health Day

On World Health Day, Merck Foundation reiterated its dedication to improving global health outcomes, emphasizing the importance of access to quality healthcare, education, and awareness.

Merck Foundation's Chief Executive Officer Dr Rasha Kelej said believe that every child deserves a healthy start in life.

"That's why we're committed to strengthening healthcare systems, empowering medical professionals, and advocating for community well-being."said Dr Kelej.

She pointed out that Merck Foundation is making history and legacy in Africa by training the first Fertility specialists, Embryologists, Oncologists, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Respiratory experts and more in many countries.

"Merck Foundation programs have greatly contributed to building professional healthcare capacity by providing doctors from 50 countries with over 2250 scholarships for one-year, two-year and three-year Diplomas and Master’s degrees in more than 42 critical and underserved specialties" pointed out Dr Kelej.

She said this year's theme, "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures," aligns with Merck Foundation's mission to improve global health outcomes.
