Cimas iGo Half Marathon draws over 1 400 participants: Movember Movement gains momentum.

The Cimas iGo Half Marathon brought together over 1 400 participants who joined forces to champion the Movember Movement's call to action ,prioritising men's health awareness aimed at addressing critical issues such as prostate cancer a leading cause of death among men in Zimbabwe and mental health concerns.
At the ZB Sports Club ,venue of the iGo Half Marathon Cimas Health Group CEO Mr Vuli Ndlovu addressed members of the media expressing delight at the impressive turnout.
"We are thrilled with the response as this platform enables us to emphasise the significance of men's health and mental well-being through wellness programs" Mr Ndlovu said.
He also reiterated the importance of regular medical check-ups and prostate cancer screenings for men and the health group's CEO said the event presents an opportunity for them as a health organisation to stress the need for men to make their health a top priority.
Mr Ndlovu highlighted the crucial role of early cancer diagnosis in effective treatment as timely detection increases the chances of successful treatment.
Regarding mental health ,Mr Ndlovu encouraged proactive seeking of counselling and treatment as this enhances mental well-being.
Cancer Association of Zimbabwe General Manager Junior Mavu expressed heartfelt gratitude to Cimas Health group for their unwavering support ,citing the significant impact of their fundraising efforts in enabling the purchase of essential cancer treatments and meeting critical needs for quality patient care.
"The funds generously provided by Cimas Health Group enables us to make a tangible difference in the lives of cancer patients, we utilise these resources to procure chemotherapy drugs for financially constrained patients,provide food hampers to those in need easing their treatment journey and fuel for home visits ensuring seamless care" she said
