Harare, Zimbabwe - In a groundbreaking initiative, The Avenues Clinic has launched a career guidance expo that's set to revolutionize the way young girls perceive careers in healthcare.

Held in celebration of International Women's Month, the event brought female students from Mufakose High 1 , Convent Girls High, Queen Elizabeth Girls High, and Harare High School, offering them a unique glimpse into the world of healthcare.

Under the theme "Empowering Future Leaders," the expo featured an impressive lineup of trailblazing women in healthcare, including Dr Musvo Mapfanyangira, a renowned anaesthetist and President of the Zimbabwe Anaesthetic Association,Dr Takudzwa Chiwanga, a dedicated gynecologist and obstetrician, Mrs Sibusisiwe Ndhlovu, a seasoned Chartered Accountant and General Manager at Medical Investments Limited and Ratidzo Mutizwa-Njagu, a Health Economist and founder of Kunashe Foundation

These remarkable women shared their inspiring stories of perseverance, resilience, and determination, showing the girls that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

The event's interactive format allowed the girls to engage with healthcare professionals, explore different career paths, and gain hands-on experience in a real hospital setting.

This immersive experience not only sparked their curiosity but also instilled in them the confidence to pursue their dreams.

In a statement the health institution revealed they are committed to expanding this initiative nationwide, with the support of willing partners, to ensure that more young women have access to guidance, mentorship, and opportunities in healthcare.

As the world commemorates International Women's Month, this event serves as a crucial step in shaping the next generation of women leaders in healthcare.
