Zimbabwe's blood stocks critically low-NBSZ

Just in......The National Blood Services Zimbabwe(NBSZ) says it is critically low on its blood stocks following the delay in receiving supply of critical raw materials due to the flight cancellation in the United Arab Emirates.

Responding to questions from 365HealthDiaries on the current blood stocks in the country, NBSZ Chief Executive Officer Ms Lucy Marowa said the flight cancellation which resulted from unprecedented floods in the United Arab Emirates has had a negative effects on their operations.

She said the delay in supply of critical materials which include test kits has been a major setback in their operations as NBSZ.

Ms Marowa added that as an organisation they hope to resume operations at full capacity at the earliest possible time upon receiving these critical raw materials
